Former Gamblers Assistant David Carle Named Head Coach of 2024 U.S. National Junior Team

David Carle (Anchorage, Alaska), who recently completed his fifth season at the helm of the University of Denver men’s ice hockey program, will serve as head coach of the 2024 U.S. National Junior Team, it was announced today by USA Hockey. Team USA will play in the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship December 26, 2023 – January 5, Former Gamblers Assistant David Carle Named Head Coach of 2024 U.S. National Junior Team


The Green Bay Gamblers have added forward Charlie Russell to the team’s roster.  Russell comes to the Gamblers from Clarkson University.  Russell will be in the line-up on December 29, when the Gamblers take the ice against Team USA at the Resch Center.   Russell played last season in the USHL with the Fargo Force. Adam Gajan and Julian Lutz are competing in the upcoming U20 World Junior Championships, December 26 – January 4 in Gothenburg, Sweden.  Tournament features teams from the Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway. Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.  Overall, 37 current and former USHL players will be competing for gold. Gajan is WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

USHL Combines Headed to Green Bay

The United States Hockey League has announced that the USHL Player Combines – first created in 2010 to annually showcase young players to League scouts and decision-makers and to educate players about opportunities in the nation’s top junior hockey league, will take place in Green Bay, Wis., beginning this year. The Combines, which are held in USHL Combines Headed to Green Bay


Green Bay completed a weekend sweep over the Tri-City Storm, winning 5-4 in a shootout on Friday, and 4-2 on Saturday. The highlight of the weekend was captain Mikey DeAngelo who recorded four points over the two games. Tri-City got out of the gate quick on Friday with a goal just 56 seconds into the GAMBLERS SWEEP TRI-CITY


Green Bay Gamblers forward Blake Bechen has committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Bechen joins teammates forward Jayson Shaugabay and goaltender Adam Gajan as Gamblers committed to the Bulldogs. Bechen is the 21st player on the Gamblers roster to commit to NCAA Division 1 institution. Bechen was acquired in an off-season trade with the Madison BECHEN COMMITS TO MINNESOTA-DULUTH
