KATZIN WINS GOLD AT WORLD U17 CHALLENGE

Green Bay Gamblers forward Lev Katzin was a member of the gold medal winning Team Canada White at the 2023 World U17 Challenge, played in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada (November 2-11).  Canada White defeated the United States 2-1 in overtime in the gold medal game. It was Canada’s first gold medal at the tournament since 2015. The tournament featured teams from the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, United States and two teams from Canada.

Katzin notched two goals and an assist in eight games.  The Thornhill, Ontario native tallied goals versus the Czech Republic and in the quarterfinals versus Team Canada Red. 

Katzin has had an impressive rookie season in the USHL thus far.  The Harvard commit, ranks 6th overall in USHL Rookie scoring, tallying 11 points (4 goals & 7 assists) in 12 games.  Katzin will be in the Gamblers line-up this Friday when the team travels to Madison to take on the Capitols.
