CONWAY CAPS OFF JUNIOR YEAR WITH STATE TITLE

After a banner year for the Andover Huskies that included a 25-5-1 regular season, Cooper Conway, Gambler affiliate and Huskies forward, and his team have won the Class AA Boys Hockey State Title. This is the first time Andover has taken home the state title for hockey.

It was a great year for Conway, who improved his production from the year before despite only playing 18 games, down from 22 last year. This year, he scored 29 points on 12 goals and 17 assists, all of which were fourth best in their respective team categories. The 16-year-old also came to play in Andover’s tournament run, scoring three points on one goal and two assists.

Conway was drafted by the Gamblers in the 2021 USHL Entry Draft in the 18th round at #268 overall. He also spent his first year in the Upper Midwest HS Elite League Hockey (EHL), one of the top developmental programs for players around the Midwest region. Playing for Team SIT Mutual Financial Services, he put up 21 points on 9 goals and 12 assists, all of which were once again best for fourth in team rankings.
