Gamblers Select Ten Players in Phase I

The Green Bay Gamblers made ten selections in Monday’s 2019 USHL Phase I Draft. The Gamblers picked seven forwards and three defensemen from the 2003 birth year over the course of the 10-round Draft.

“I am very pleased with the depth we are adding to our roster with the ten selections in Phase I of the 2019 USHL Draft,” Said Head Coach and General Manager Pat Mikesch, “Brian Sommariva and our scouting staff put together a good list of 2003 birth year players and we are excited to watch them develop.”

The 2019 USHL Draft concludes today with the Phase II Draft (1999-2003 birth years) beginning at 10 a.m. CT. The Gamblers own the #3 overall pick in both drafts.

In June the Gamblers host their annual tryout camp, June 10-14 at the Resch Center. Camp features returning players, draft picks and free agents. Camp is free and open to the public.
