Gamblers Add Three in Dispersal Draft

Monday the Green Bay Gamblers took part in the Central Illinois Flying Aces Dispersal Draft.  With the #2 overall selection the Gamblers selected forward Chad Hillebrand.  In rounds 2 and 3, Green Bay chose forward Scout Truman and defenseman Philipp Mass.

Hillebrand (1/22/99) played this past year with the Flying Aces, registering 11 goals and 12 assists in 55 games.  Prior to his time in the USHL, the 6’4/195 pound forward played in the NAHL with the Topeka Scarecrows. Hillebrand is from Park Ridge, Illinois.

Truman (10/15/02) played last season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Drumheller Dragons.  The Lethbridge, Alberta native tallied nine goals and 21 assists in 50 games for the Dragons.  Truman is committed to UMass-Lowell.

Mass (9/30/00) played 10 games in the USHL with the Flying Aces and 16 games in the NAHL with Springfield this past year.  Mass hails from Heidelberg, Germany.

Next up is the 2019 USHL Futures and Entry Drafts, May 6 and 7.  Futures Draft consists solely of players born in 2003 and the Entry Drafts consists of any player who is eligible to play junior hockey in 2019-20. The Gamblers own the #3 overall pick in both drafts.

In June the Gamblers host their annual tryout camp, June 10-14 at the Resch Center. Camp features returning players, draft picks and free agents. Camp is free and open to the public.
