The Green Bay Gamblers (17-18-2-1) fell to the Youngstown Phantoms (16-13-4-3) in a 3-1 loss Friday night at the Resch Center.
The first period was quiet until a last-minute goal from Youngstown made it 1-0 heading into the second. The next period saw both the Gamblers and Phantoms score, giving Youngstown a 2-1 lead heading into the final frame. During the third, Youngstown would once again score, giving the Gamblers a 3-1 loss.
Sawyer Scholl (3) scored the lone goal for the Green Bay and was assisted by John Mittelstadt (9). In net, Aaron Randazzo had a game time of 57:39, saving 28 of 31 shots, allowing 3 goals.
Green Bay and Youngstown will play each other again Saturday, February 12, at the Resch Center.
