(Green Bay, WI) – The Green Bay Gamblers selected Warroad High School (Minnesota) forward Jason Shaugabay with their first pick (10th overall) in yesterday’s USHL Futures Draft. Green Bay went heavy on offense, selecting forwards with nine of their 10 picks. Picks include Danny Nelson (Maple Grove Crimson), Nick Metelkin (New Jersey Rockets), Jaden Johnson (Detroit Compuware), Austin Dahms (Lakeville South H.S.). Hunter Ramos (Fox Motors), Thomas Klockhov (New Jersey Rockets) and Bradley Gardiner (St. Andrew’s College).
In the 6th round, the Gamblers selected defenseman Brady O’Malley (Detroit Compuware), and in the 9th round defenseman Hayden Vonk (Fox Motors).
All the players selected were born in 2005.
