Gamblers Acquire Poitras From Sioux City

The Green Bay Gamblers have acquired forward Ben Poitras from the Sioux City Musketeers in exchange for 2024 Phase 1 3rd round, 2024 Phase 2 1st Round and 2024 Phase 2 6th Round picks. Poitras will take part in the Gamblers Main Camp, Sunday, June 4 – Thursday, June 8 at the Resch Center.

Poitras ranked 10th in scoring among USHL rookies last year, tallying 37 points (14 goals & 23 assists). Prior to his time in the USHL, the Montreal, Quebec native split time between the Buffalo Regals U16 and the Salisbury School, notching 82 points (38g & 34a) in 53 games. Poitras, who is committed to Northeastern, is the 80th ranked draft eligible North American player in NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings.

“Ben is one of the most dynamic returning players in our league,” said Gamblers Head Coach/General Manager Mike Leone. “He can help us score and he makes players around him better.”
