The Green Bay Gamblers faced the Youngstown Phantoms for the second night in a row at the Resch Center, coming home with a 3-2 overtime win on beach night.
The first two periods saw Youngstown jump out to a 2-0 lead. In the final period of play, the Gamblers would start to pick up the pace. First, Carter Rose would start the scoring with seven minutes left to play. Then, with the Gamblers down one on the penalty kill, the goalie was pulled, leading to a Matt DiMarsico game-tying goal that would send it to overtime.
In overtime, it didn’t take the Gamblers long to finish the game. Just 23 seconds in, Mikey DeAngelo would sink the game winner, giving Green Bay the 3-2 overtime win at the Resch Center.
Defensively, Kristoffer Eberly had a game time of 60:07, saving 20 of 22 shots, allowing two goals.
All three stars were Gamblers, including DeAngelo, DiMarsico, and Rose.
The Gamblers are back at the Resch Center Saturday, February 25 for the Teddy Bear Toss. You can get your tickets here.
