Team White beat Team Red in the Young Stars All-Star Game at Gamblers Training Camp on Wednesday night at the Resch Center. The game was played in two 25 minute halves.
The first half saw even scoring from both teams. Team White started the scoring with a goal from Tyler Chiovetti five minutes in. Team Red answered back with two scores of their own from Ashton Dahms and Jaden Johnson. Team White would tie the game with a goal from Owen Buesgen for a 2-2 score heading into the second half.
The second half would see goals from each team early, including goals from Philippe Lalonde for Team White and Andrew Clarke for Team Red. With just under 40 seconds left in the contest, Brady O’Malley drilled the go-ahead goal, giving Team White the 4-3 win.
Offensively, Team White received one goal each from Chiovetti, Buesgen, Lalonde, and O’Malley. For playmakers, Team white received two assists each from Hans Hedlund and Zach Homer, along with one assist each from Jack Brauti, Cael Priminati, and Chiovetti. In net, Adam Manji played the first half, saving 16 of 18 shots, allowing two goals. Ryan Crowshaw played the second half, saving 11 of 12 shots, allowing one goal.
For Team Red, Johnson led the way offensively with one goal and two assists. Other goal-scorers include Dahms and Clarke, giving one goal each. Other playmakers include Hayden Vonk and Hunter Ramos, giving one assist each. Defensively, Stephen Soderwall played the first half, saving 10 of 12 shots, allowing two goals. Stephen Peck played the second half, saving 9 of 11 shots, allowing 2 goals.
