GAMBLERS ACQUIRE ORAVITZ AND DeANGELO

The Green Bay Gamblers have acquired defenseman Austin Oravitz and forward Mikey DeAngelo from the Dubuque Fighting Saints.  The two players along with forward Peter Kramer were acquired as part of the Jackson Hallum trade this past February. 

Oravetz appeared in all 62 regular season games and two playoff games this past season with Dubuque.  The Canonsburg, Pennsylvania native tallied 21 points (2g & 19a) and a +12 plus/minus rating. Prior to his time in Dubuque, Oravetz played in the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite program.

DeAngelo, appeared in 38 games, notching three goals and three assists. The Arizona State commit, spent time with the U.S. National Program in 2020-21, registering six points in eight games.  While with the U.S. National Program, DeAngelo played for Gamblers Head Coach/General Manager Mike Leone.

Kramer suited up for 17 games with the Gamblers in 2021-22, tallying six points and 29 penalty minutes.  The Providence College commit will return to the Gamblers for the 2022-23 campaign.

Oravetz, DeAngelo and Kramer are scheduled to attend the Gamblers Main Camp Saturday, June 11 – Thursday, June 16 at the Resch Center.  Camp includes free agents, returners, and draft picks.  Players come from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe to participate.  The camp is free and open to the public.  Stay tuned the gamblers website www.gamblershockey.com for times.
