Austin McNicholas, Gambler affiliate and current goalie for Salisbury School, just helped the team continue its dominance of prep school hockey as they defeated Belmont Hill 4-1 on Sunday, March 6. This marks back-to-back titles for the Knights, and the seventh NEPSAC championship in school history.
McNicholas is in his first full season with Salisbury after playing one game for the Knights last year. This season, he has been the primary netminder for Salisbury playing in 17 games. Over that span, he had 1.78 goals against average with a .926% save percentage to pair with it.
The New York native was drafted in 2021 by the Gamblers in the USHL Entry Draft. He was drafted in the eighth round with the #118 overall pick.
