The Green Bay Gamblers (17-19-2-1) dropped their second game this weekend against the Youngstown Phantoms (17-13-4-3) with a 5-2 loss Saturday night at the Resch Center.
Youngstown started their scoring early, jumping to a 3-0 lead in the first period. In the second, they scored two more, but the Gamblers added one of their own thanks to a Ryan Greene (13) power-play goal, making it 5-1 with the third to play. In the last period, Green Bay would start a comeback with an Alex Servagno (10) short-handed score but would fall short in a 5-2 loss.
The Gamblers received 1 goal each from Ryan Greene and Alex Servagno. Jackson Hallum (27) and Brody Lamb (9) assisted on Greene’s goal while Servagno’s was unassisted. In net, goalie Rastislav Elias started the game with a time of 22:52, saving 16 of 20 shots, allowing 4 goals. Aaron Randazzo would replace him, going for a game time of 37:08, saving 16 of 17 shots, allowing 1 goal.
Green Bay will play the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (16-18-1-1) Thursday, February 17, at the Resch Center.
Youngstown will play the Muskegon Lumberjacks (23-11-3-3) in Youngstown Friday, February 18, at the Covelli Centre.
