Weekend Recap

The Green Bay Gamblers went 0-1-1 on the weekend. After falling 4-3 in a shootout on Friday in Madison, the Gamblers fell 3-1 to the Central Illinois Flying Aces on Saturday at the Resch Center. Gamblers sit in 8th place in the USHL Eastern Division with a mark of
14-22-9. With 17 games remaining the Gamblers sit six points out of the 6th and final Clark Cup Playoff spot.

Goaltender Joseph Lamoreaux made 31 saves and stopped four of five in the shootout to backstop the Madison Capitols to a 4-3 shootout win over the Gamblers on Friday in Madison. Chase Pilawski, Jesse Tucker and Benito Posa scored for Green Bay. Defenseman Tyler Spott chipped in with a pair of assists. Maksim Zhukov made 39-saves in the loss.

Goaltenders Ryan Snowden and Mitchell Gibson combined for 38-saves to lead Central Illinois to a 3-1 win over Green Bay on Saturday at the Resch Center. Noah Prokop tallied the lone goal for Green Bay. The Prokop goal set-off the Teddy Bear Toss. When it was all said and done, the crowd of 7,441 tossed 7,202 stuffed animals onto the ice. In the 20-year history of the Teddy Bear Toss, the fans have tossed over 119,000 stuffed animals. The stuffed animals are donated to the Pediatric Care units at Aurora BayCare as well as other charities in Northeast Wisconsin that focus on the family.
