Leitner Named USHL Player of the Week

Today the USHL announced that Gamblers defenseman Nick Leitner has earned Player of the Week honors. Leitner dished out three assists in Green Bay’s 6-2 win at Central Illinois on Friday before adding two more helpers as the Gamblers knocked off the Waterloo Black Hawks 5-4 in overtime on Saturday. The Bemidji, MN native is Leitner Named USHL Player of the Week

Weekend Sweep

The Green Bay Gamblers won a pair of road games this past weekend, defeating the Central Illinois Flying Aces (6-2) and Waterloo Black Hawks (5-4). FEAR COMMITS TO QUINNIPIAC

The Green Bay Gamblers announced today that goaltender Evan Fear has committed to Quinnipiac University. The Winnetka, Illinois native is the 16th player on this year’s roster to commit to a NCAA Division 1 school. Gamblers Fall at Home

The Sioux City Musketeers defeated the Gamblers 3-1 on Friday night at the Resch Center. With the loss, the Gamblers fall to 1-2-0-0 on the season. The Gamblers defeated the Dubuque Fighting Saints 3-2 on Saturday morning at the Fall Classic in Pittsburgh, PA. With the win, the Gamblers improve to 1-1-0-0 on the season. GAMBLERS FINALIZE ROSTER

The Green Bay Gamblers finalized their roster for their commemorative 25th USHL season on Monday. Per league rule each team can carry a maximum of 23 players. Players released on Monday include forwards Justin Englekes, George Grannis, Nicholas Nardella and defenseman Tim Makowski. The Gamblers also made a trade acquiring forward Sam Huff from the GAMBLERS FINALIZE ROSTER
