The Green Bay Gamblers have acquired forward Libor Nemec from the Omaha Lancers in exchange for a Phase 1 3rd round and a Phase 2 2nd round pick in 2025, and future considerations.
Nemec represented his native Slovakia at the 2022 World Junior Championships, notching six points in five games. After the tournament, Nemec joined the Lancers tallying 12 points in 25 games. The trade reunites Nemec with Gamblers goaltender Adam Gajan, who were teammates on the Slovakian U20 national team.
“We are excited to welcome Libor to the Gamblers organization,” said Head Coach/General Manager Michael Leone. “He is skilled and brings a lot of international plus USHL experience to our team’s makeup as we begin the new season.”
The Gamblers home opener for their 30th season in Northeast Wisconsin is Saturday, October 7.
