SINGLETON LEADING OKOTOKS TO SEMIFINAL

Bowden Singleton, Gambler affiliate and forward for the Okotoks Oilers, is helping his team make a run in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) playoffs.

After a year in which the Oilers finished fourth in the South Division, Singleton and company have made it to the semifinals, knocking off the number two seed Drumheller Dragons in the process.

Singleton has been a key part of the Oilers’ offense all year. The North Dakota commit scored 59 points on 20 goals and 39 assists, all of which are second-best on the team. This standout year led him to earning 2022 AJHL All-Rookie honors. He’s also provided key contribution in the playoffs, scoring five points on three goals and two assists in nine games.

The Oilers are currently facing the number one seed Brooks Bandits and are down 2-0 in the best of seven series.

Their next game is Tuesday, April 12, and puck drop is at 7:00 PM.

Singleton, a Calgary native, was drafted by the Gamblers in the 2020 USHL Entry Draft. He was drafted in the fourth round with the #54 overall pick.
