Season High Crowd Takes Part In Teachers’ Appreciation Night

This past Saturday, a season-high crowd of 6,005 took part in the Green Bay Gamblers / Fox Communities Credit Union Teachers Appreciation Night.  Game raised $13,492 and collected school supplies for area schools.  Since 2013, the annual event has raised $113,000 for area schools.

As part of Teachers Appreciation Night, 18 teachers were recognized on the ice during the 1st intermission. Schools that took part included: Beaumont Elementary, Blesch Intermediate School, Brillion Middle School, Dickinson Elementary, Faith Christian School Coleman, Fond du Lac High School, Hemlock Creek Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Howard Elementary, Kewaunee Elementary, Marinette Middle School, O.H. Schultz Elementary, Our Lady of Lourdes School, Pulaski Middle School, Riverview Middle School, St. Clare Catholic School, St. John Lutheran School, St. Mark’s Lutheran School.

Teachers were selected based on what they were raising money for: STEM programs, educational initiatives, field trips, classroom and library improvements, upgrades to music and physical education equipment and a new playground. Schools also received funds based on the number of tickets sold to their students and faculty.

The Gamblers thank Fox Communities Credit Union for their commitment to the communities of Northeast Wisconsin. 

Gamblers return to the Resch Center, Saturday, February 5 for the annual Reschminster Oaks Weiner Dog Race, presented Fox Communities Credit Union.  Bud and Bud Light draughts just two bucks.  Weiner Dog Race takes place during the 1st intermission. Tickets available at Resch Center box office or online at gamblershockey.com. Box office opens at 10:00 AM. Puck drop for both games, 7:05 PM.
