(Green Bay, WI) – On Saturday the Green Bay Gamblers had their home opener for the team’s 28th season in Northeast Wisconsin. The game also featured the return of the Teddy Bear Toss. Presented by Fox Communities Credit Union, the 21st Annual Teddy Bear Toss saw 2,022 stuffed animals tossed on the ice.
The toss was ignited by Gamblers forward Nicholas VanTassell’s goal at the 7:11 mark of the opening period. Since the inception of the Teddy Bear Toss in 2000, over 124,000 stuffed animals have been donated to local hospitals and charities that focus on children and families across Northeast Wisconsin.
