Goals for Military-Military Night

Over the past five years, We have had the pleasure of working with the Disabled American Veterans Green Bay Chapter 3. The men and women tied to the DAV volunteer countless hours to insure that veterans are taken care of. In 2016, they provided transportation for 39,197 veterans, logging over 885,000 miles. They are incredible people!

Through our conversations with the DAV, they expressed the need for a new transportation vehicle. Our goal is to get them the funds to purchase a transportation vehicle. The centerpiece for making this request a reality is the Gamblers 6th Annual Military Night, Saturday, October 28. Since 2013, Military Night has raised $83,000 all of which has stayed right here in Northeast Wisconsin to assist our veterans.

To achieve our goal will need the help of the business community. One of the ways you can get involved is by taking part in “Goals for the Military”. In 2014, Gamblers head coach Pat Mikesch donated $100 for each goal the team scored on Military Night. Each year more and more businesses and individuals have joined in. By taking part you also receive a Gamblers Military jersey. To sign up contact Jason Habeck at 405-1130 or via email at

On military night the players will be wearing military inspired helmets and jerseys and all active duty and veterans receive a complimentary ticket to the game. Helmets and jerseys are auctioned off immediately following the game with all proceeds benefiting the DAV. Helmets and jerseys will be unveiled to the general public the first week in October.

This is great opportunity to help out those who have served our country. Help us make a difference in the lives of so many. Donations can also be made directly to the DAV by contacting their main office at 338-8620
