Green Bay (May 2, 2017) – The Green Bay Gamblers selected five defensemen, eleven forwards and two goaltenders in phase two of the USHL Draft on Tuesday.
With the 12th overall pick, the Gamblers selected defenseman Andy Carroll. A product of the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL, the Minnesota State recruit appeared in 55 games last season netting 40 points (6 goals, 34 assists).
On the blue line the Gamblers also selected Ryan Verrier (Salisbury PS Crimson Knights), Carver Watson (Chilliwack Chiefs), Michael Underwood (Aston Rebels) and Samuel Kemppainen (Karpat Oulu B).
Up front the Gamblers selected Bobby Dow (Kemptville 73’s), Brett Stapley (Vernon Vipers), Paul Maust (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights), Jackson Pierson (Culver Academy Eagles Prep), Jesse Jacques (Hermantown HS Hawks), Gabe Temple (Detroit Victory Honda 16U), Charles Levesque (Hawkesbury Hawks), John Mittelstadt (Eden Prairie Eagles 14UAA), Kyler Head (New Jersey Titans), Rory Anderson (Calumet HS Copper Kings) and Jackson Sterrett (Skipjacks HC 18U).
Between the pipes, the Gamblers picked Ryan Ullan (USA U17) and Juraj Sklenar (Nitra Jr.).
