Michael Underwood Commits to Clarkson

The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Michael Underwood has committed to Clarkson of the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Underwood has seen action in 32 games this season for the Gamblers posting six points and a plus four plus/minus rating. Prior to his time in the USHL, Underwood suited up for 102 games in the North American Hockey League tallying 24 points and a plus 27 plus/minus rating.

Underwood becomes the 16th Gambler on the 2017-2018 squad to commit to a NCAA Division I institution. Others include forwards Danny DiGrande (RPI), Paul Maust (Mercyhurst), Trenton Bliss (Michigan Tech), Josh Dunne (Clarkson), Noah Prokop (Nebraska- Omaha), McKade Webster (Yale), Brock Caufield (Wisconsin), Nolan Moyle (Michigan), Lean Bergmann (Western Michigan), defensemen Jackson Charlesworth (Northern Michigan), Ryan Verrier (New Hampshire), Tyler Spott (Northeastern), Andy Carroll (Minnesota State), Michael Bevilacqua (Mercyhurst) and Carver Watson (Michigan Tech).

Dash For Cash Wrap-Up: $14,358 Raised for Area Schools

The Green Bay Gamblers and North Shore Bank teamed up this past Saturday (1/20) to raise $14,358.00 for local area high, middle and elementary schools. Thirty-two teachers representing the communities of Ashwaubenon, Brillion, Coleman, DePere, Green Bay, Greenville, Hortonville, Howard, Kewaunee, Kimberly, Marinette, Mishicot, New London, Pulaski, Suamico and Wrightstown collected various amounts for their school. Since 2013, the Teachers Dash for Cash has raised the following amounts for area schools:

*Dollars generated are through the Dash for Cash and evening ticket sales.

Gamblers Announce Roster Moves

The Green Bay Gamblers have acquired forward Danny DiGrande from the Waterloo Blackhawks and have traded defenseman Michael Vukojevic to the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. Terms of the trades were not disclosed.

DiGrande is in his second season in the USHL splitting time between the Tri-City Storm and the Waterloo Blackhawks. DiGrande has registered 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) and 113 penaltly minutes in 92 career games. A native of Macomb, MI, DiGrande is committed to RPI.

Vukojevic tallied two points in 12 games with the Gamblers.

DiGrande was added to replace forward Matt Jennings who suffered a season ending knee injury.

Bevilacqua is Headed to Mercyhurst

The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Michael Bevilacqua has committed to Mercyhurst of the Atlantic Hockey Conference joining teammate Paul Maust.

Bevilacqua is in his second season with the Gamblers posting six points (3 goals, 3 assists), 57 penalty minutes and a plus 7 plus/minus rating in 71 USHL games. Prior to joining the Gamblers, the  Hamburg, NY native suited up for the Corpus Christi Ice Rays in the North American Hockey League. He posted 18 points (5 goals, 13 assists) in 60 games in the NAHL.

Bevilacqua becomes the 17th Gambler on the 2017-2018 squad to commit to a NCAA Division I institution. Others include forwards Paul Maust (Mercyhurst), Trenton Bliss (Michigan Tech), Josh Dunne (Clarkson), Noah Prokop (Nebraska- Omaha) Robert Herrman (Arizona State), McKade Webster (Yale), Matt Jennings (Ohio State), Brock Caufield (Wisconsin), Nolan Moyle (Michigan), Lean Bergmann (Western Michigan), defensemen Jackson Charlesworth (Northern Michigan), Ryan Verrier (New Hampshire), Tyler Spott (Northeastern), Andy Carroll (Minnesota State), Michael Vukojevic (Michigan) and Carver Watson (Michigan Tech).
