Gamblers Fall on the Road

The Dubuque Fighting Saints defeated the Gamblers 2-1 on Friday night at the Mystique Ice Center in Dubuque, Iowa. With the loss, the Gamblers fall to 1-2-0-0 on the season.

The lone goal scorer for the Gamblers was defenseman Connor Mackey.

Maxim Zhukov suffered the loss between the pipes for the Gamblers with 20 saves on 22 shots on goal. With the loss, Zhukov falls to 1-1-0 on the season.

Opening Night Hometown Hero

Luke Smith was recognized during the Gamblers home opener this past Friday, September 23rd as the Exhaust Pros Hometown Hero of the game.

When Luke was in preschool he was bitten, hit, and picked on because he was different and he began to shut down from the world. Luke was diagnosed with Autism at age 6.

Instead of shutting down, Luke started volunteering countless hours in the Manitowoc community for the Lakeshore Humane Society, the Miracle league of the Lakeshore and Generations against Bullying an organization to put the power to stop bullying in the community.

For his efforts, Luke has been recognized with  the Helpful Hearts Award, Youngest Volunteer Wisconsin, Youth award for Green Bay volunteer center/WPS Awards, He has received the Prudential Community of Spirit award which he was awarded in Washington DC, the Daily Point of Light Award, and the Gold Presidential Award.

Luke is an inspiration to many. Each day he overcomes his challenges and puts his anxieties aside to help out in the community.

Gamblers Fall in Chicago

The Chicago Steel defeated the Gamblers 4-0 on Saturday night at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Chicago, Illinois. With the loss the Gamblers fall to 1-1-0-0 on the season.

Gamblers Win Home Opener

The Green Bay Gamblers defeated the Madison Capitols 3-2 on Friday night at the Resch Center. With the win, the Gamblers go to 1-0-0-0 on the season.

Scoring for the Gamblers were forwards Casey Mittelstadt, John Leonard and Jason Dhooghe.
