The Green Bay Gamblers captured the 2012 Anderson Cup with seven games remaining in the regular season. The team ended a record breaking season with a 47-9-4 mark, breaking USHL records for points (98) and road wins (25) and breaking Tier 1 records in wins (47), fewest losses (9), goals scored (250) and goal differential (+112). During the regular season, the Gamblers did not lose back to back games.
For a second straight year the Gamblers captured the Anderson Cup posting a regular season mark of 45-10-5. The team set franchise records for wins (45), points (95), road wins (23), and consecutive wins (15). Anders Lee led the team in scoring (66 points). Steve Summerhays led all USHL goaltenders in wins (31) and goals against average (2.17). The Gamblers allowed a league low 140 goals over the 60 game campaign.
In a battle the lasted till the final minutes of the last game of the season, the Gamblers ended a 16 year drought and captured the Anderson Cup Championship with a win over the Des Moines Buccaneers. The Gamblers under the guidance of first year head coach Jon Cooper posted a regular season mark of 39-17-4. The 39 wins marked a 26 win improvement from the previous year, which is a USHL record.
The Gamblers successfully defended their 1995-96 Anderson Cup Championship by defeating the Thunder Bay Flyers on the last day of the regular season, clinching the title in front of a full house at Brown County Arena in dramatic fashion. As a whole the Gamblers finished the season with a record of 41-11-2. Individually, Kevin Granato led all scorers with 96 points, and Ty Conklin led the team between the pipes with 27 wins.
The battle for the Anderson Cup was not settled until the very end, and with a 5-1 victory to close out the season at the Brown County Arena, the Gamblers finished atop the USHL with a 32-11-3 record (67 points) surpassing the Omaha Lancers (66 points). A 20-2-1 record at home established the BCA as the “not so friendly confines.” On the season, the Gamblers only allowed 137 goals, second fewest in league history.
