David Hrenak, former Gambler goalie, has been nominated for the 2022 Mike Richter Award. The award is given to the top goaltender in Division 1 hockey every year.
The current St. Cloud State Husky ranks as one of the goalies in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. The LA Kings draftee has the second-best goals against average at 1.76, along with the second-best in save percentage with a .928.
In net for the Gamblers in the 2016-17 season, Hrenak earned a fifth-best goals against average of 2.24 and fourth-best save percentage at .923.
