GAMBLERS RAISE MONEY FOR POLICE & FIRE

The Green Bay Gambler hosted their 1st Annual Police and Fire Appreciation Night this past Saturday.  The game raised $7,500.  The donation will be split between the Wisconsin Concerns of Police Survivors (WI C.O.P.S.) and the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation Summer Camp for Burned Injured Youth.

As part of the event the team wore Police & Fire inspired jerseys.  Jerseys were auctioned off after the game with a portion of the proceeds going to the two charities. Limited edition Police and Fire t-shirts were also for sale, with $5 from each t-shirt purchased going to the two charities.

Brown County Sheriff Todd Delain, Brown County officer Nick Denis and K9 Mattis, Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach, Susan Michalski, whose husband Michael Michalski was killed in the line of duty in 2018, and United States Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 8th District Mike Gallagher took part in a ceremonial puck drop prior to the start of the game.

Police & Fire Appreciation Night drew the team’s third-largest crowd of the season (4,521). Gamblers defeated Fargo 5-2 to earn a weekend split with the Force.

The Gamblers are home Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8.  Saturday is Princess Night presented by North Shore Bank, Festival Foods Family Night and Aurora BayCare Skate with the Gamblers.  The start time for both games are 7:05 PM.
