The Green Bay Gamblers selected five defensemen, nine forwards and three goaltenders in phase two of the USHL Draft on Tuesday.
With the 9th overall pick, the Gamblers selected defenseman Chris Giroday. A member of the Aurora Tigers of the OJHL, Giroday suited up for 48 games last season posting 49 points (15 goals, 34 assists). A native of Toronto, Ontario, Giroday is committed to Western Michigan University.
On the blue line the Gamblers also selected Noah Ganske (Bloomington, MN), Dylan Abbott (Wasilla, AK), Vincent Iorio (Coquitlam, BC) and Tim Makowski (Ballwin, MO).
Up front the Gamblers selected Kyler Grundy (Pleasant Prairie, WI), Austin Heidemann (Maple Grove, MN), George Grannis (Long Lake, MN), Jesse Tucker (Longlac, ON), Camden Thiesing (Franklin, TN), Gleb Murtazin (Penza, RUS), Justin Engelkes (Verona, WI), Gavin Gulash (Red Bank, NJ), and Ryan Sandelin (Hermantown, MN).
Between the pipes, the Gamblers picked Evan Fear (Winnetka, IL), Nicholas Grabko (Channahon, IL) and Pontus Eltonius (Goteborg, SWE).
