Today the USHL announced forward Trenton Bliss has been named USHL Forward of the Week.
Bliss tallied two points (1G, 1A) in an overtime loss to Chicago on Friday night before adding three more points (1G, 2A) to help Green Bay to a shootout victory over the Steel on Saturday, snapping the defending champ’s six-game win streak. The Appleton, WI native is one of the hottest players in the USHL right now, earning a point in each of his last seven games, with 13 points (5G, 8A) during that span. He has recorded multiple points in four of those seven contests and is a big reason why the Gamblers are currently one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Bliss is playing in his second USHL season after playing 24 games with Green Bay last year, tallying an assist. He is currently uncommitted and previously played for the Coulee Region Chill (NAHL), Team Wisconsin (USHS) and Appleton United (USHS). He was selected in the 12th round, 193rd overall by the Gamblers in the 2014 USHL Phase II Draft.
