Cedar Rapids currently holds a record of 15-11-3-1 and are right behind the Gamblers in the 3rd spot in the USHL Eastern conference with 34 points. A small four points between the Gamblers and the RoughRiders will make for a thrilling weekend series.

The Gamblers hold a 18-10-1-1 record and are still holding down the second spot in the USHL Eastern Conference with 38 points. Some players to watch for include Nicholas Vantassell and Mykhailo Danylov. Returning Gambler, Nicholas Vantassell, is coming off a great weekend, grabbing 3 points in the weekend’s games against Team USA. The forward has continued to bring the heat, acquiring a total of 6 points in the last 4 games and securing the fourth spot in points on the team with 21 points. Hoping that the University of Massachusetts commit will continue this hot streak into this weekend’s home and home series against the RoughRiders. Another Gambler to watch for in this series is USHL rookie, Mykhailo Danylov, who is also coming off a successful weekend. Securing 2 back to back goals during Saturday’s matchup against Team USA. Giving the Gamblers the push they needed to win the game, while securing the first star of the game. The 18-year old sits in the 15th spot on the team in points with 7 points, and by the looks of it Danylov isn’t turning down the heat any time soon. Both Vantassell and Danylov are dynamic players to watch for during this weekend series, both coming off a great last few games and will surely be a force on the ice.

USA Hockey NTDP currently hold a 15-11-3-1 record and are third in the USHL Eastern conference with 34 points. A couple players to watch for this weekend include Zaccharya Wisdom and Dylan Hryckowian. Second year RoughRider, Zaccharya Wisdom, currently sits in the second spot in points for the team and ninth in the conference with 33 points in 30 games. Already surpassing himself in points from last season, as a rookie Wisdom put up 23 points for his first season with Cedar Rapids. The Colorado College commit has been continuously acquiring points in almost every game, the good news for Gamblers fans, the forward hasn’t earned any points in the last two games against Dubuque. Another player to watch for is USHL rookie, Dylan Hryckowian, who sits in the third spot on the team in points, following Wisdom, & 14th spot in the league with 31 points. The rookie comes to Cedar Rapids from the Buffalo Regals AAA team, where he finished the season with 46 points in just 28 games. The forward has been on a hot streak, grabbing points in the last 3 games, and will be a tough competitor during this weekend’s matchup.
