On Wednesday, the Gamblers acquired USHL defenseman, John Driscoll, from the Des Moines Buccaneers. In exchange, the Gamblers send a 2022 Phase 2, 3rd Round Pick and a 2023 Phase 2, 7th Round Pick to the Buccaneers.
The 6’4” defenseman spent three years with the Buccaneers. During his time in Des Moines, the Eagle, Indiana native notched two goals and 28 assists. Driscoll also spent his first season in the USHL with the Central Illinois Flying Aces where he added seven assists to his resume. The veteran defenseman is committed to Army and will wear #8 for the Gamblers.
Gambler’s affiliate, Aaron Brown, was also added to the roster for the remainder of the season on Tuesday. Brown, a 6’2”, left-shot defenseman, spent the past two years with the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL. During his time with the Dukes, Brown tallied seven assists in 27 games. The Belleville, Ontario native is committed to Quinnipiac University and will wear #44 for the Gamblers.
Gamblers have also sent forward, Trey Zagrzebski, to the NAHL. During his time with the Gamblers, the Stevens Point, WI native tallied one assist in nine games.
The Gamblers are set to hit the road for a three-game weekend against Team USA and Muskegon, followed by a road trip to Chicago and Dubuque the following weekend.
