(Green Bay, WI) – The Green Bay Gamblers have traded forward Brayden Stannard to the Youngstown Phantoms for forward Nate Hanley. The University of Connecticut recruit appeared in 14 games with the Phantoms, tallying two goals and two assists. Prior to his time in Youngstown, Hanley notched 25 points (10 goals & 15 assists) in 46 games with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders during the 2019-20 campaign. The Rocky Point, New York native suited up for 27 games for the RoughRiders in 2018-19, registering five points (2 goals & 3 assists).
Stannard was selected by the Gamblers in the 2nd round of the 2020 USHL Entry Draft. The Bark River, Michigan native appeared in 13 games this season with Green Bay, producing three assists. Stannard played last season in the North American Hockey League with Maryland, garnering NAHL 2nd team All-Rookie honors. Stannard is committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
