Green Bay Stays Hot at Home

Green Bay’s dominance at home continues with a 6-2 victory over Dubuque.  The Gamblers are now 5-0-1 at the Resch Center this season.  Veteran forward Cam Thiesing started the scoring by netting his third goal of the season late in the first period.

A power-play goal from Jake Schmaltz (6) put the Gamblers up two.  Forward Ryan Kirwin was able to light the lamp for the first time in Gamblers sweater and the Gamblers would take a 3-0 lead heading into the third.

Green Bay forward Jackson Kunz came out firing in the third.  He scored his first goal just 17 seconds into the period and added another just 21 seconds later.  Kunz now has 5 goals on the season.  Standout defenseman Mason Lohrei would also continue to find his way to the score sheet adding a goal (5) to his two earlier assists to cap off his three-point night.

Dubuque finally got on the board late with a 5-3 power-play goal.  They would add another goal with seven minutes to play, but Randazzo would shut the door from there and earn his second win of the season.  Green Bay is now 6-2-1 on the season.
