The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Michael Underwood has committed to Clarkson of the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
Underwood has seen action in 32 games this season for the Gamblers posting six points and a plus four plus/minus rating. Prior to his time in the USHL, Underwood suited up for 102 games in the North American Hockey League tallying 24 points and a plus 27 plus/minus rating.
Underwood becomes the 16th Gambler on the 2017-2018 squad to commit to a NCAA Division I institution. Others include forwards Danny DiGrande (RPI), Paul Maust (Mercyhurst), Trenton Bliss (Michigan Tech), Josh Dunne (Clarkson), Noah Prokop (Nebraska- Omaha), McKade Webster (Yale), Brock Caufield (Wisconsin), Nolan Moyle (Michigan), Lean Bergmann (Western Michigan), defensemen Jackson Charlesworth (Northern Michigan), Ryan Verrier (New Hampshire), Tyler Spott (Northeastern), Andy Carroll (Minnesota State), Michael Bevilacqua (Mercyhurst) and Carver Watson (Michigan Tech).
