The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Paul Maust has committed to Mercyhurst of the Atlantic Hockey Conference.
Maust was selected 75th overall in the fifth round of Phase 2 of the 2017 USHL Draft by the Gamblers. This season, Maust has seen action in 16 games netting five points (2 goals, 3 assists). The Butler, PA native spent the last two seasons in the North American Hockey League with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights registering 74 points (30 goals, 44 assists) in 113 games.
Maust becomes the 16th Gambler on the 2017-2018 squad to commit to a NCAA Division I institution. Others include forwards Trenton Bliss (Michigan Tech), Josh Dunne (Clarkson), Noah Prokop (Nebraska- Omaha) Robert Herrman (Arizona State), McKade Webster (Yale), Matt Jennings (Ohio State), Brock Caufield (Wisconsin), Nolan Moyle (Michigan), Lean Bergmann (Western Michigan), defensemen Jackson Charlesworth (Northern Michigan), Ryan Verrier (New Hampshire), Tyler Spott (Northeastern), Andy Carroll (Minnesota State), Michael Vukojevic (Michigan) and Carver Watson (Michigan Tech).
